Reaching New Heights...Literally

It is official, hiding remotes and other things that we do not want Callum to play with on the back of the couch is no longer a viable option, since as of yesterday Callum is able to climb up on the couch all by himself. Yesterday while Brett and Callum were home alone, Brett caught Callum standing on the couch rumaging through the items on the back of the couch, not once, not twice, but three times. The first time he turned around to find Callum with two Wii remotes, one in each hand, and he was waving them around as if he was playing a game. The second time he had found the tv remote and was trying to change the channel. Daddy switched the remote out for Callum's nonfunctioning remote and his microphone and Callum appeared content so Brett went back to what he was doing in the kitchen. However, a few moments later Brett turned around and found that Callum had climbed on the couch and was squatting with one foot of the arm of the couch and one on the end table, pushing buttons on the answering machine. He looked up at Brett like "No one told me I couldn't play with the answering machine." I think we are in for some trouble and we probably need to find a new place to store our remotes.
