A Hammer & A Nail

I am happy to report that Callum's playroom (which will become his room in the next six months as well) is finally finished! It has taken us a while to get everything cleaned out of the room (likely because Brett has been stuck doing most of the moving, which I really appreciate) but it is DONE!!

Toy storage as of this morning (taking up a large portion of our living room which will now be inhabited by our Christmas Tree)

Callum's new playroom, he is loving having his own room for his toys!

In cleaning out this room we had to put several things up in the attic for storage. Our attic is not one of those fancy ones with pull down stairs, instead to get up into our attic we have to use a 6 foot step ladder. I had been handing several things to Brett while Callum was otherwise occupied and than had started putting down mats in the playroom while Brett put a hook in the attic before coming down. The events that happen after that will go down as one of our worst parenting moments (no one was injured, just mommy and daddy were freaked out). Brett finished up what he was doing and looked down from the attic and found Callum standing at the top of the ladder UH-OH! I quickly swooped him up and placed him in his crib until Brett was finished and down from the attic. Callum was not pleased with his imprisionment and Brett tried to make up for it by putting Callum to "work", which he loved (when ever Brett has a tool out Callum wants nothing more than to play with them, so he was in hog heaven).
