Ca-Corn

Popcorn, lovely coined "cacorn" by the youngest member of our household, has become (by request) our daily afternoon snack. It is hard to deny a child requesting air popped popcorn his heart's desire. Callum always surprises us by asking for the healthy snacks over the sweet ones, which elicts some eyebrow raises from checkers at the grocery store, since Callum is always asking them for the cheese or grapes etc.. They love to make comments about how it is good to feed them the healthy things when they ask for them over the sweet treats, the thing is he rarely asks for sweets so we really aren't doing anything special in the parenting arena. Hopefully he will continue to be such a good and healthy eater.

Speaking of being a good eater, we had Callum's 2 year check-up today and the boy weighed in at 29.5 lbs placing him in the 75th percentile and 36 1/4 inches tall (90th percentile). This is the highest weight and height percentile that he has ever been in. From the time he was born until this visit Callum has consistently been in the 50th percentile for weight and 75th for height. Our little boy is growing like a weed but at least he is consistent in it, even it means both height and weight have to increase percentiles. Overall the doc reported that Callum appears healthy; however, we do have another double ear infection and our first mild case of pink eye, at least they are both easily treated.
