Delta Fair 2011

Yesterday we headed out the Delta Fair (this was Callum's third annual trip and of course Finley's first, can you tell that Brett and I like the Fair?) and we had a great time.  We took in a few free shows, looked at the exhibits, fed some animals, ate some Fair food (Corn on the Cob, Corn Dogs, Nachos, and a Funnel Cake were all on the menu), and even stayed for a little bit of the Diamond Rio concert.  The only thing we didn't do was ride the rides; however, in the end there just wasn't time and no one was really disappointed (especially seeing that Callum is the one who declared that it was time to go home). We will definitely be back next year.  Here are some pictures of the fun we had..

"Ready to go Buddy?" - Callum
Callum has recently started adding Buddy to the end of just about
any statement he makes.  We aren't sure what part of speech he thinks it is
but he sure uses it a lot.

Raise your hand if you are ready for the Fair (though
her face tells a different story)

The boys taking in the Monkey show.

Callum was super surprised to see Elmo at the Fair

and super excited to shake his hand.
(This picture alone made admission worth it)

Callum's dream car (at least for the moment)

Callum and Brett shared a Funnel Cake and
I think that it was a hit.  After he finished his Funnel Cake, the
concert started and Callum got down clapping, stomping his foot,
and dancing in circles.  It was adorable.  After about 10 minutes, though he (and
Finley) decided they were exhausted and we called it an evening.
