Botanic Gardens

I am almost afraid to say it but I think that fall may have finally arrived in Memphis.  The last week the temperatures have been in the 60s and 70s and for the most part it has been sunny so we have been spend as much time outside as possible.  Yesterday I decided would be a great day to head to the Botanic Gardens and we all had a great time.

We started our visit off by feeding the coy.  The only problem was that the geese and swan thought it was a little cool to be in the water and were lining the shore of the lake looking for food as well.  This really isn't a problem unless you have my irrational (yes i'll admit it) of large water fowl, they are unpredictable!!  Anyway we ended up sitting on the wooden dock and using the stroller to block the entrance to it so no brazen geese followed us.

Callum LOVES to play Candyland and it had been a while since we had visited the Big Backyard.  He was very excited that they had made Candyland in the garden and kept runnind around proclaiming "It's Candyland. It's Candyland."

Callum and Finley even found their way to the candy castle.

Callum is standing proudly on the balcony of the newest house in the garden.  They were building this all summer and C really wanted to go in ti.  He was very pleased to finally be able to.

Finley was also pleased to get in on the fun this visit, especially in the music house, where she got bang things and make lots of noise.
