We made our annual trip to the Delta Fair on Sunday (previous visits can he found here for 2010 and here for 2011, it is amazing to see how much they have grown). Nana was already here in preparation for Brett and I's trip to San Francisco so we invited her to come along. We all enjoyed some fair food and festivities, as well as two big rain showers, and one of us even rode their first fair ride (and much to the surprise of the grown-ups enjoyed it greatly). Here are some pictures from the fun we had.
Callum was amazed and awed by the gigantic pumpkins and watermelon.
Letting Finley be our navigator might have been the source of some of our navigation confusion.
Callum loved the petting zoo...
Finley was less sure until...
she met the smallest, saddest animal in the petting zoo and then she was a little more on board.
We got some food to feed the animals; however, Callum kept giving all the food to me and refusing to feed them himself.
Farmer Callum
Brett was more successful in getting C to feed the animals
Callum picked this ride out of the all the Kiddie rides and I really think he had a great time. It was kind of like the Tilt-a-whirl and we were all uncertain if he would really ride it but he did. As he was riding the ride it started to pour so was took cover...
Under a tree which blocked some of the rain; however, the kiddos were both pleased as punch to be getting wet/playing in the mud.
