The Big Move

So Saturday was the big day.  While we closed on the house a week and half ago, we had only moved a small number of boxes over and have been working on some paint touch ups and laying plywood in the attic. We had still sleeping at the old house (because our furniture was there); however, as of Saturday that changed.  Saturday morning Brett went and got the truck and with the help of a couple sweet friends we were able to move in just two trips all the big furniture PLUS the contents of our rented storage unit which is quite an accomplishment.  We still have a few things at the old house but that will get here soon enough.  We are very happy to finally be living in Collierville.  Callum last night unprompted told me "I love the new house" as he was drifting off to sleep.  We all do Callum, we all do.
In preparation for the move (and to curb his nervous energy)
Brett collected a lot of boxes from work.  This is what our
living room looked like for several weeks.  What you cannot
see is off the left is a stack of 40 boxes not put together that our
Realtor also got for us.  I have to admit though we have used almost
all of them and there still are some things at the old house so they may all
get used yet.

Callum was a big help and kept trying to find things
to pack on the truck.  This included the cat's food;
however, the cat is still at the other house until later today (before you
freak out though the cat has food we had a bag in the closet.)

This is how Brett and the other guys told Callum
he was riding to the new house.  They told him he had to
hold on tight.  He was on board with the idea until Brett started the
truck then he told them "That is dangerous."  Brett says he
had to no intention of drive this way but Callum wasn't taking
any chances.

Out cold in her new room.
Luckily everyone adjusted well to the move and slept both
Saturday and last night with minimal difficulty.  Naps have been a different
story but that will work itself out.
