Bye Bye Sandals

With Labor day upon us Callum is making the mandatory switch from sandals to socks and shoes (mandated by Daddy). This transition has become necessary because Callum has the stinkiest boy feet. They smell terrible and the only way to get the stink off is to douse his feet in hand sanitizer (soap and water don't even cut it). The only solution we can figure out is to put him in socks and hope for the best. So while you will still see Brett and I in sandals Callum is strictly wearing athletic shoes for the foreseeable future.

As a side note: this morning Brett and Callum were sitting in the living room Callum brought Brett one of the Harry Potter novels and then returned the shelf to get another one for himself. Brett shared with Callum that this wasn't a very excited book, no pictures etc. and laid it down on the table thinking that Callum would get distracted and move on; however, he was wrong. Callum then put the one he was "reading" in Brett's lap and picked up the one off the table. They went round and round like this for about 15 minutes. Hopefully Calllum will be as interested in reading them when he is old enough.
