CMOM wth Aunt Missy

Today Callum, Finley and Brett went to the Children's Museum of Memphis with Aunt Missy.  Callum is a CMOM-veteran, but this is the first time that Finley really got involved in the activities.  After the complusary visit to the airplane (sorry no pictures), we headed to the dress up area, where monitors display digitally-inserted backgrounds to the participants (hence the green backdrop, and Callum's focus off the the right)
Callum was an active participant, while Finley was content just to be pretty.

Some ensembles were prettier than others...

A change in background required more heroic attire.

In the car area, Callum was preoccupied with a driving simulator and Finley found her own niche
behind the wheel of a real car.

Sometimes a view of the instrument panel is more important than seeing over the dash.

Callum joined her in the car

and was promptly directed to passenger seat.

The Children's Museum also has a karaoke stage and Callum had fun playing "rock star".  This visit was particularly exciting because there was a new addition to the limited (6 song) catalog- Callum's favorite, Taylor Swift!

Again, monitors displayed a digitally inserted background.

Callum was a little starstruck at first, but soon got back to rocking.

We also visited the "Grocery Store", where the kids could get a shopping cart and pick out food from the store shelves.  Once Finley got a cart, she left Dad, Brother and Aunt Missy behind and was off to shopping (this does not bode well for the future).  She quickly filled her cart and returned to the check out with two boxes of graham crackers, two boxes of vanilla wafers and a box of animal crackers.  We put her groceries back, and then helped Callum check out with his assorted fruits and vegetables (I'm not sure that he's really that healthy minded, I think they are just more fun to shop for).  Meanwhile, Finley snuck off to do more shopping.

Jessica often declares Finley to be "a mess" and apparently Finley agrees.
