Finley had her six month visit today and it went well. She is growing well; however, she is slowing down in the weight gain area. Dr. Charles was pleased with her development and even encouraged us to start feeding her solid foods twice a day, so we are moving right along. She started Sweet Potatoes Monday night and they were a hit so we will probably move on to Avocado tomorrow and then back to the orange vegetables. No one has said anything to us yet but Brett and I talked to Dr. Charles about Finley's eyelid on her left eye that doesn't open all the way (ptosis) just to see if he thought it was of concern. He said we would watch it and if it was still as noticeable to the naked eye at her 1 year visit we will get it formally assessed. Here are her official stats:
Weight: 16lbs, 12 oz (70th percentile)
Height: 26 inches (75th percentile)
My favorite story though about her visit has little to do with Finley and more to do with Callum. In the car on the way to F's visit I asked Callum who was going to see Dr. Charles today and he responded "Kermit." followed a beat later by "She doesn't have teeth." I guess he thought that Dr. Charles could fix that because he also mentioned it to Dr. Charles "No teeth" and after F got her shots he said "She have teeth now?" (The answer is no she doesn't).
