Planting a Garden

Okay so the boys are not actually planting a garden at the moment. Really they are making beds for the berry bushes and plants that I got last year for Mother's Day and we managed not to kill last year. Making these beds has meant Brett cutting railroad ties (with Callum's "help," which basically involved him running around the yard with glasses on or sitting his chair supervising while Brett cut the wood) and now the boys are removing the grass from between the plants and where the ties will go prior to permanently placing them. I am so excited to see the finished product (and what else we can get to grow once they are done, seeing that we are not known for our green thumbs).

Callum's jobs consisted of worm watching and then removing dirt clumps from the bucket and...

throwing them againist the fence and in the remaining grass. He certainly is our big helper.
