We had set the date of Callum's birthday party prior to the Broncos winning the AFC Championship and were going to the Superbowl, however, since I bleed blue and orange, I knew we needed to find some way to celebrate. Initially he wanted a DC Super Friends party (surprise, surprise. This boy is crazy for super heros and has already had two such themed parties), but when we mentioned that the Broncos were in the Superbowl on the same day, he quickly decided a Broncos Superbowl party was the way to go.
The party started at 2:30 which was well before the Superbowl started; however, the Puppy Bowl was on so we showed that for everyone's viewing pleasure. (Callum doesn't seem to think it is a party with a themed movie or show running just in cause people need to take a break). The weather was beautiful the day before and then rained buckets on Superbowl Sunday so inside activities were a must.
Throwing touchdowns or kicking the ball through the uprights was a hit. (This is actually a party cooler but it worked great as entertainment as well.)
We went old school and played pin the football in the uprights. Finley had some difficulty...
Callum had better luck.
