We spent Wednesday and Thursday night at the hospital and then headed home late Friday afternoon. This stay was a bit more exciting than our stays with Callum and Finley as Emmett got to meet two specialist while we were there; however, we are happy to report that he is a healthy little boy. First he got to meet Dr. Stamp, a very nice cardiologist, who was consulted because Dr. Catherine heard a very quiet heart murmur. In the words of the doctor "we have a very sweet and healthy boy." The murmur is being caused by two small holes that are traditionally there and close on their own. He was very unconcerned about them and told us they will close soon and only if they are still there at 6 months then we might need to follow-up with him. The second specialist was Dr. Nandu, a wonderful ENT, who came to look at Emmett's tongue, which I had noted early on was fairly significantly tied. Dr. Nandu agreed and went ahead and clipped his frenulum (which is a very simple and straightforward procedure which really surprised Brett). Other than that the rest of our stay was unremarkable and we are glad to be home.
Sporting her first set of pigtails.
Trying out Emmett's mustache
A few impromptu pictures of our cutie before heading home.
Finley cannot get enough of this little guy.
Sporting his going home outfit. He initially was not pleased with his car seat...
however, he quickly got over it.
The wonderful Welcome Home banners that Callum (top) and Finley (bottom) made for Emmett.
