Sleep is a precious thing at our house these days as you can imagine with a newborn around. But to be honest she is doing a pretty good job sleeping at night; however, the positions that she chooses to sleep in surprises us. We do encourage her to lay on her back but if she is able to she will try to sleep on her side... (and no she doesn't usually sleep on our bed or a blanket, this is where I put her for a moment after I fed her and she immediately rolled into this position)
She also seems to favor what looks like the most uncomforatble positions to sleep in when we are holding her or in the swing. When we are holding her, her favorite position involves her knee, elbow, and head touching; however, below is probably the most uncomfortable position we have found her in (and let me tell you she was completely happy to be sleeping it). As Brett noted it almost looks like her head isn't attached to her body.
